Available now. "Choir Boy" was what the kids called singer/songwriter Adam Klopp in his early teens when he fronted punk cover bands in Cleveland, Ohio. An intended insult, the label seemed fair and fitting in a way, given Klopp's religious upbringing and angelic voice. After high school, Adam left Ohio for college in Utah. While his career as a student would prove short-lived, he integrated into Provo and SLC's underground music and art scene, left religion behind, and called his new band "Choir Boy". Since Choir Boy's gorgeous debut LP on Team Love records in 2016, the dream-pop outfit has gained a cult following online and in underground circles. Adam's stunning vocal range, layered compositions, and heartbreaking melodies are backed by musical partner Chazz Costello on bass (Fossil Arms, Sculpture Club, Human Leather) - and along with a rotating cast of players, create the perfect blend of nostalgia-laced romantic pop music we've been waiting years to hear. Dais is proud to announce the new single "Sunday Light" b/w "Madeline". Limited to 100 on opaque salmon, 400 on black. FOR FANS OF: Bryan Ferry, Anohni, Magnetic Fields, Lightning Seeds, Erasure, Talk Talk.

July 10 street date. Award-winning powerhouse blues belter Cheryl Lescom is set to release her fifth recording titled1953 June 16th on Busted Flat Records. With an impressive career spanning some 40 years, Lescom fronted several of her own bands before becoming a back up singer for Ronnie Hawkins and touring with Long John Baldry. Her career as a front-woman and bandleader truly began after receiving some advice from one of her idols. “I met Anne Wilson when Heart played a bar in Kitchener and told Anne how much I wanted to front a band and sing”, says Lescom, “ She told me to stop smoking, stop slinging beer, start taking vocal lessons and "just do it", so I did just that”. She has toured and performed with the likes of Jeff Healey, Matt Minglewood, Dutch Mason, Downchild, Jack de Keyzer, Del Shannon, David Wilcox, Mel Brown, Paul James, and The Detroit Women. Well known throughout the blues and roots community as “one of the best and biggest voices in Canada”. Her soulful road weary, yet sweet and sophisticated vocals perfectly and convincingly deliver the emotion, rawness and double-entendre that blues and soul music fans enjoy. Most of the songs on 1953 are co-written with Ray Walsh from her long time band the Tucson Choir Boys, who also share cobilling on the album with two songs, “Surrender” and “Places I’ve Been” written with singer-songwriter Lynn Jackson. Lescom’s charming matter-of-fact attitude is expressed throughout all 11 tracks on the recording. "Cheryl Lescom has one of the best and biggest voices in Canada..I've had many great singers with me over the years and Cheryl is by far one of my favourites!" - Long John Baldry
