Their unique take on California punk emphasized equally innovative and catchy melody, paired with top-flight musicianship. May 5 street date. NO USE FOR A NAME were one of the first bands ever signed to Fat Wreck Chords. Since their first Fat release The Daily Grind in 1993, they have been a cornerstone of the label roster. Despite the tragic passing of NUFAN’s singer and songwriter Tony Sly in 2012, the impact that the band made on punk rock can still be felt today, and they remain as relevant as ever. We did some digging and found demo versions of two classic NO USE songs. “Justified Black Eye” from Leche Con Carne and “Sidewalk” from Making Friends capture perfectly, the innovation and imaginative song writing that NUFAN fans have grown accustomed to. These unique, previously unreleased recordings of two classic tunes remind fans just what NO USE FOR A NAME was and will continue to be. Fans will not be disappointed with this 4th installment of the Fat “Original Demos” series. Limited one time pressing!!
